I am unable to get an appointment to see my GP - One has to wonder why one even has a named GP if you cant get appointments with them.

Its extremely difficult to make an appointment. When you get one doctor doesnt hear what you say, just doesnt listen. My little baby had a diarrhoea for 2 months, we get no tests. Nothing. I felt ignored. I found more informations in google than there. So I helped my baby, not a doctor.

Rude staff on reception, having to give information about yourself and your ailment in a very public setting. Stressful to get an appointment and depressing waiting area feels impersonal. Generally an unpleasant experience to get and wait for an appointment. One suggestion, with so many people told to 'take a seat and wait until the clock strikes 8am' before trying for an appointment, a numbering system on arrival would prevent much unpleasantness as those sitting waiting and those arriving off the street all scramble for a place in the 8am queue!

The new appointments system is meaning I have been unable to see my GP for over 6 weeks, if I see any other GP they just refer me back to my GP and then I am unable to get an appointment and because it's not urgent (yet) I can't get a same day appointment.
